Matt graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Technology. His education included learning music theory, synthesis, writing and arranging for orchestra, scoring for film, and recording and mixing audio in a professional environment. 

Matt also did a six month internship at Lava Room Recording in Cleveland, Ohio. During his time at Lava Room, he learned how a professional recording studio operates day in and day out, and got to work side by side with the great engineers that work there. 

Matt got his start in music when he was 14. This is when he purchased his first guitar. He spent his high school years learning the instrument and began composing his own songs. Once he started college, Matt wanted to record the songs he had written. This inspired him to change his major to the Music Technology program. 

Ever since then, he’s spent countless hours mastering his craft. Matt not only works on his recording and mixing skills; he is constantly learning about composition and arranging so he can help artists create original and interesting pieces of music.
